Duke Aviators
Duke Aviators is an aviation interest organization where students can learn how to obtain a private pilot’s license. With a team of a few other students, I developed the club’s in-house flight simulator, aiming to create a to-scale, fully functional Cessna 172 dashboard. I worked to design and build a custom wooden frame to support the dashboard. I also engineered a flaps panel using 3D-printed components and Arduino electronics by following an online tutorial, and integrated this flight control with the Microsoft Flight Simulator software. Creating an immersive flight experience and giving students the tools to practice flying has been a highly rewarding experience.
